The syllabus works on turns, leaps and flexibility in a fun way, featuring barre work, floor work, fun centre exercises and progression steps. SLS is new for 2023! This award is for students Level 3 Jazz upwards, and students recieve a report card and a banner on completion during exam week. Belinda will be mentoring our younger teachers to keep our contemporary work alive though 2023. This year Olivia and Charlotte will be teaching junior contemporary, which will be split into two classes to accomodate the large number of junior students. Group dance participation is compulsory, solo dance will be taught to all students, and is optional come exam time to perform as a solo work or duo. These consist of learning a group dance and solo work. Rosette 2 (new intake 2023) American Level 2Ĭontemporary medal tests will be performed during exam week. Junior group will be available for Level 1 students upwards. The group will be learning choreo to perform at competitions, use as a group medal performance at exam time, and we are currently investigating the way in which to earn NCEA credits through school for our senior school students.
